About me
I was born in Graz, Austria, where my father was a gynaecologist. From an early age I admired his knowledge and skills, and the kind heart he had for his patients. These qualities also characterize my work ethic.
EDUCATION
After grammar school I studied law and medicine at the University of Graz. I was awarded fellowships at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and the Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York. I then further specialized in reconstructive and aesthetic breast and facial surgery.
INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE
- 1999-2001 Surgery department of Klinikum Seefeld near Munich.
- 2001-2004 Clinic for Plastic Hand and Burns Surgery of the University Hospital Aachen.
- 2004-2005 visiting doctor in an aesthetic surgery clinic in Ruy Vieira in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
- 2006-2009 plastic surgeon at the Caritas Hospital Regensburg, Germany.
SPECIALIST TREATMENT
In 2006 I was awarded a fellowship of the German Association of Plastic Surgeons in New York. I visited Sharel Aston, and Glenn and Elizabeth Jelks. And since 2009 I have worked as a plastic surgeon in the Netherlands, from 2011 to 2024 at Bergman Clinics.
In 2023 I opened my own private practice, specializing in aesthetic breast and facial surgery. These are the fields in which I have done a lot of research – and can now boast over 20 years of experience. In recent years, my focus has been on (silicone) implant removal, breast enlargement through lipofilling (‘boob job’), eyelid corrections and face and necklifts.
Up to date
To stay optimally informed of the latest trends and developments in my field, I regularly attend conferences at home and abroad. I am a member of the following professional associations:
